I’ve been working on this piece on and off for quite a while because of extra projects, and when I finally got a couple of days in-between things, I decided to wrap this piece up so that I can fully focus on my other projects for the upcoming weeks. I had some other plans for this piece to start off with, but it didn’t work out as I hoped as I would have to move away from the monochromatic look, which I kind of like.
Reference used for the girl. Painted during 5-6 evenings in Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom Intuos tablet. Close-ups, and step-by-step process here: [link] |

I think the top half of the picture -- from the lower edge of the covering sheet -- work very well. I like the distant gaze as she paints in the air.
