I made this for our event over at Pixelbrush (Myths). I made this more as a drawing, rather than painting, and it was fun not messing around with colours, or tiny details for once.

This is Cthulhu himself. As I'm a big Call of Cthulhu buff, and never got the chance to paint the dude yet, I gave this a go, just for fun.

well this is a different version of the big man BUT I LIKE IT! I just got done reading this book for the first time and it was very interesting (gotta love the mad ship crew and their explaining about what they saw in Ryleh) and I like your idea about what you think the creature would look like. Great attention to detail and the black and white coloring work well for this pic.

obviously you are a fan of Cthulhu....well Kaiju Combat (a game being made by the team that brought the world Godzilla:Destroy all Monsters Melee, Godzilla:Save The Earth, Rampage Total Destruction, and Godzilla unleashed)is a new game the team is trying to get funded on kickstarter in October and guess what...Cthulhu has a chance to get into the game! we just need folks to sign up on the forums and vote for him enough (if the poll does well the creator has agreed to include him).[link]

Yeah, I love the work of Lovecraft. I wasn't really familiar with it until I started working on the Call of Cthulhu card and board games for Fantasy Flight Games, but it took me no time to really get into it :)
