Darkfall cover by henning Darkfall cover by henning
Outdated illustration for Darkfall, our mmorpg. This is obviously not being used for the game.

While the Darkfall human models aren't quite as...endowed as the one in this submission, the flying Red Dragons are every bit as terrifying.

It's too bad Darkfall adopted the new orange logo, I was really liking the old gold one. Was that your design (Henning)?

I made both logos, the old one was just a placeholder during production.

Such a fast response! Are you sure you work for Aventurine?
I jest. Somewhat.

If you don't mind me asking, what parts of the art have you worked on for Darkfall?
At the very least, conceptual art, I surmise.

Another question- how did you get involved in the DF project? I assume it was when they expanded the game and went back through heavy development in '04, but even at that point they were still a very small team?

I've been involved from the veeeery start, which was over 9 years ago, hehe. I'm the AD and I'm involved with all the aspects of the game. :-)

That's amazing! Were you involved with the decision to cell shade characters at long distances?

Was the cell shading done for asthetics reasons or does it actually consume less processing power? I would assume it is the former, because it seems like the processor would have to render the model in order to extract an accurate 2D representation from it?

It adds an interesting visual effect, though I assume it was intended to be viewed with max anti-aliasing? Doesn't appear to be in the current beta-build.

Awesome, so you do the Darkfall graphics art content? I gotta ask, since you're "inside," is it REALLY going to be released the 25th?
