Artist's Comments  This is an illustration for Fantasy Flight Games collectible card game named A Game of Thrones, which is based on the world of best-selling author George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice & Fire. This belongs to theClash of Arms Edition. The character is Lancel Lannister. He is a young kind, and aspires to be a great warrior. In reality, he is a lesser version of Jaime, and will forever live in the shadow of the Kingslayer. In this scene he is being knighted for his service to his family, and he is trying to appear self confident, even though he is probably quite scared. Illustrations for card games like this always have short deadlines, and are supposed to be viewed on a smaller scale than here. Do not use this art! |
