Collectible card illustration for ShadoWar, another game from Fantasy Flight Games. The character is Astrid, and she is a Valkyrja bodyguard.
The illustration was made to serve as a template on how other artists are to paint her for other parts of the game.

Painted using Photoshop CS2 and a Wacom Intuos 2 tablet.

Love the palette and the way you did the gold. The saturation and placement of the blood also really makes the image pop, sweet stuff dude.

The light and dynamix are just perfect.
Just a bit of concern about the perspective of the handle of that sword.
And I have to agree with the guys; that saturation really is bringing things to life. Nicely done!
