This is an illustration for Fantasy Flight Games collectible card game named Call of Cthulhu, which is based on the worlds of renowned horror master H.P. Lovecraft.

Illustrations for card games like this always have short deadlines, and are supposed to be viewed on a smaller scale than here.

These usually takes one evening. Pretty face since they're only going on small cards.
The design for these was explained down to the last detail by Lovecraft back in the old days, so it's hardly my design. Just trying to visualize it as close as possible to how the old horror master would describe it :-)
